Making “I swear it’s legal*” your new catchphrase
CPG brand owners, like you, all need more high LTV customers.
We bring them to you, so you can focus on what is meaningful & have fun!
*Spoiler Alert: It is legal
It’s time turn Facebook & Instagram
Ads into an evergreen 🌱
customer building machine
for your CPG brand!
(instead of a marketing budget incinerator🔥)
The Blue Bound Effect
You need a new process ⚙️
Find out what we do differently to create & manage ad campaigns on
Meta that gets CPG brands, like yours, results that support true
long term growth
Step 1 - Prepare for Performance
Seeing brands
pay thousands to so –
called “agencies”,
Who put in ZERO effort
preparing for their
campaigns
Makes my blood boil.
Facebook & Instagram are
native platforms, meaning
you have to interrupt your
audience’s attention away
from
their normal feed, full of
content that they love,
To your ad.
9/10 most people (yourself
included) skip over ads the
fastest,
So getting people NOT to
skip,
Means that you need to
already be in their heads.
What does that even mean??
Take 2 situations:
1) You’re scrolling on
Facebook and see an ad for
a random lotion from a
brand you’ve never heard of.
Do I even
need to say what you’d do?
or
2) You’ve recently started
to struggle with eczema in
your adult life from your
hormones changing as you
get older.
You’ve never dealt with it
before, and most of the
other topical solutions are
meant for eczema caused
by sensitive skin,
Which doesn’t work for you.
The only other alternative
is to get hormone therapy.
(which you pray you don’t
need to do)
Nothing has worked.
You start scrolling on
Facebook when a headline
catches your eye.
“Ready to get rid of your
hormonal-caused eczema?
(without risky hormone
therapy?)”
How would you react?
It’s no surprise that in the
first situation, the ad gets
ignored,
While in the second, the
ad is clicked on & drives a
sale,
Or at least an email sign-up.
But what was the
differentiating factor?
Customer research.
It’s clear that the
advertiser in the second
example:
– Identified their
target customer avatar
– Identified their problem
– Did research on their
struggles & desires.
Without all of that
research & preparation,
their ad would be no better
than the first!
Even if you never work
with us at Blue Bound,
I beg you,
Do your customer research.
Performance is only
possible through
preparation.
Step 2 - Building your Batch
If you know anything
about Meta ads for CPG
brands,
You’ve probably heard of,
or at least seen ads from,
the top players.
RYZE, Obvi, AG1,
MUD/WTR, etc.
They are the best of the
best when it comes to
Meta ads in the CPG
space, and it shows in
their creatives!
But what makes their ads
10x better than their
competition?
(it’s not supernatural
marketing/graphic design
skills)
I’ll show you.
Most brands: 3 results
RYZE: 1,763 results (as of
when I’m writing this)
Now let me ask you:
If you had two average
marketers creating &
running ads for two
different brands
& one had 3 active ads,
maybe a few tested and
discarded in the past,
compared to one who has
1,763 active ads &
thousands of others tested
to get to that point…
Who do you think will win?
This is exactly why we are
constantly producing
batches of creatives for our
clients, testing variations
of even the
most minute details, so
that we can find the top
.00001% of ads that will
crush their competition.
Now that you know the ad
creatives game is won by
volume,
What would it mean for
your CPG brand to have a
powerhouse team sending
you batches of ad
creatives,
by the 100s?
Step 3 - Track Down your Tribe
Who do your customers
look like?
I’m not talking about your
target customer avatar
(yet).
I mean the people who
have actually bought from
you in the past.
Is there any definition, or
are they all over the place?
Have they bought from
you just once or twice, or
are they buying month
after month,
Begging you
for a subscription
offer & telling their
friends, family & everyone
they know about you.
If your actual customers
don’t look like the second
type, & the demographics
are all over,
You haven’t found your tribe.
You have customers, sure.
But if you want to build a
brand that does more than
just a few sales a day or
even a week,
You need to find your tribe.
Think about MUD/WTR.
They pride themselves on
not drinking coffee,
because they feel so
strongly that adaptogenic
mushrooms are
better in every way,
eliminating everything
people don’t like about
coffee.
MUD/WTR wouldn’t be
half the size it is today if
their customer base wasn’t
full of passionate
mushroom missionaries
who would tell everyone &
their moms about it!
This is where we come in.
Our team will become a
team of Bournes & Bonds,
finding your precise target
customer avatar, &
showing them the
right ads at the right time,
until they have no choice
but to sing your brand’s
name from the rooftops!
Don’t just target customers.
Track down your tribe.
Step 4 - Refining the System
I’m sure you’re familiar
with The Starry Night by
Van Gogh.
For good reason, it’s
considered by some to be
one of the greatest pieces
of art of all time.
But how did Van Gogh
create this legendary piece
of art?
I’ll give you a hint: it
wasn’t his first work.
In fact, he has been
confirmed to have
produced over 2,000
pieces of art (which does
not include any
unconfirmed
works or countless drafts
of each piece)
Like any skill or craft,
constant & repeated
iteration & refinement is
what breeds true
excellence.
Not only is Facebook Ads
as a whole its own craft,
However, developing
campaigns for each brand
is its own craft in itself.
If you’ve already read
through Step 2 – Building
Your Batch, you know how
valuable volume is when it
comes to ad creatives.
The same applies to the
entire process that will be
done for your brand.
Good enough can be done
in a month, week or even
day.
Excellence never ends.
Are you ready to stop wasting🔥 your money on ads?
All while your competitors’ ads keep stealing all of your customers…
